About Chris
Chris Folmsbee is an author, speaker, volunteer youth worker, youth ministry consultant and the director of Barefoot Ministries a non-profit youth ministry training and publishing company located in Kansas City. Barefoot exists to help youth workers guide students into Christian formation for the mission of God.
Chris also works with Youthfront, a Kansas City based youth ministry organization called to bring youth into a growing relationship with Jesus.
Chris is the author of several books and dozens of articles. He recently finished a book called, Story, Signs and Sacred Rythms: A Narrative Approach to Youth Ministry and is currently working on a free digital book called, God is Loud a book design to help MS & HS students engage the mission of God in new and challenging ways.
Chris was a youth pastor for 12 years in OH, NY and MN and now is a volunteer youth worker at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS where he serves as a HS small group leader. He lives with his wife and three children in Overland Park, KS.
