I am thrilled to be contributing (along with my good friend Erik Leafblad) to the development of a new digital small group resource by Beacon Hill Press called, Missio. For years I have been dreaming about a multi-year resource that is based on the approach of missional formation I wrote about in my book Story, Signs and Sacred Rhythms.
I am thrilled about this new resource (Year 1 is available on July 1, 2011) for many reasons. One reason in particular is that there is an intentional strategy of developing spiritual practices for every age level. I will be sharing more on Missio in the days ahead but for now you can go visit missiolife.com and connect with our progress and updates.
Brilliant!
I seriously would have killed for this a few years back… I am excited to see how this turns out!
Thanks, Matt. You are gonna love this stuff!
I am dying to know more about this! I was just about the to pull the trigger on some other curriculum! Glad I waited!
angie, what would you like to know about it? maybe i can help or pass you on to another…
I’d love to know more about the sequence of the material, what things will be covered in the scope of a year and over the length of the program (I’d guess 4 years??)
I’d also love to see a sample of a lesson plan to get a feel for the curriculum!
My interest area is more with youth since that is my direct area of influence.
I love what Barefoot and House Studio are doing and what I’ve read in your book! (I’ve been following what you’ve been up to for a few years since I was in seminary in Sioux Falls with Kelly Lashly) So I’d love to have a teaching resource more in line with this approach than what I’ve seen in other things out on the market.
angie — if you haven’t already, go to http://www.missiolife.com and drop in your info. as the information you want becomes available someone on our end will shoot it to you so you can check out sample chapters, etc.
