Ariana, try showing your friend Philippians 4:13 and Jeremiah 29:11. Also, make sure she understands God's plan of salvation (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8, Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13, Romans 5:1, Romans 8:1, Romans 8:38-39). Keep loving her and being there to listen!

Anne, for an adult correctional facility, I suggest you look into Celebrate Recovery, the adult version of LHGH. If you just google "Celebrate Recovery" you'll find the information that you need.

Hoping to start LHGH at our church within the next few weeks!

I was a part of LHGH for 2 years at Saddleback and have some suggestions. You sometiimes will not have all the time to go over every part of the curriculum every session,it will depend on your group, your group may need more time in small group then large group therefore do that if need be. You need to be stronger in some ares then others, for questions I would usually have students pick maybe 4-5 questions to answer vs all of them. Also when LHGH ends you may want to do a summer group every 2 weeks or so. Keep in touch with your students. They always come in like lions but most leave like lambs once God softens their hearts. Keep it fun, be firm, do not attempt to fix any of them, leave that up to God, just give them LOVE. Good Luck

I recently attended an IN Corrections Conference and learned of your Life Hurts, God Heals curriculum. Having never seen it, I am wondering if it could be adapted to men in a correctional facility? I am the Substance Abuse Coordinator at Henryville Correctional Facility (a mens' prison) and many of them have much hurt from their younger years.

Started LHGH at my church in Cresco, PA last Friday, 9/4/09. I am a youth leader and we had 15 youth show up. It is a powerful ministry and I am looking forward to what God is going to do in the lives of the youth.
