We moved into our new place on Thursday, and it's awesome, but I've probably been in the opposite place, not waiting, but racing - spending so much time organizing, packing, arranging finances, then moving, unpacking, etc, that we haven't given the kids anywhere near as much time as they deserve. I'm really looking forward to this new season (now that I'm settled in a new job and a new house), where, rather than waiting (in the sense you've used here, which is helpful) or racing (the other extreme), I am making it a priority to regularly put aside the day to day tasks and choose to engage fully with my beautiful family.
