hi chris,
i am actually a 40..near 50 year old female youth worker. i’ve been working with youth over 7 years now. my husband and i do it together. anyways, what you’ve written here is what i’ve been thinking about a lot lately. why can’t i use my experience as a youth worker and a parent (two kids-17&19) to minister to not only kids, but the parents and family unit, also. haven’t heard a lot on this position but would like to research it more. if you have any helpful info to pass on, i’d love to hear from you.
i think you are on the right track here diana! i would think that your influence with your peers as the youthworker and a parent of two of your own could really make for some effective ministry. very cool. how might you go about this?
